A & B Diesel Technician – $34–$40/hr | No Weekends | Free Health Insurance

Pinkelman Truck & Trailer is a family-owned diesel repair shop in Norfolk, NE, operating since 2010. We’re growing and looking for an experienced A or strong B-level diesel technician who wants steady work, real respect, and weekends off.

This is not a corporate shop and not a churn-and-burn operation.

What the Job Actually Looks Like

• Heavy-duty truck & trailer repair (mostly truck)
• Mix of fleet work and repeat customers
• Diagnostics matter here — this is not just parts swapping
• Well-equipped shop working on all makes and models
• Consistent workload year-round (no scrambling for hours)
• Best fit for techs confident diagnosing issues, not just following work orders

Schedule

• Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No weekends
• Rotating emergency call schedule (infrequent and shared fairly)
  – $100 per call plus hourly pay

You’ll know when you’re going home.

Pay

• Hourly position: $34–$40/hr
• Typical annual earnings $77,000–$110,000, based on experience, efficiency, and bonuses
• Performance-based bonus options available

What We’re Looking For

Must Have:

• 5+ years diesel experience (truck shop or fleet)
• Strong diagnostic ability
• Can work independently and manage jobs start to finish
• Shows up, communicates, and takes pride in their work

Nice to Have (Not Required):

• Trailer experience
• Electrical diagnostics
• Leadership potential
